What's the most interesting thing about the fact that we have a genre called trap music is the fact of what the term "trap" actually means. If you know anything about the term "trap" you will know that it's the place where people go to deal drugs. Given that information and then think about trap music you should realize that it's just a little something weird about having a genre that seriously is accepted for being involved with supposed illegal activities that nobody seems to want their children involved in. However, the genre seems to have quickly evolved away from these actual roots and just retains the same name of trap music.
Since trap music started around the year 2000 it has seem so many changes that it really makes you wonder if the name trap music is going to stick for much longer. With the infusion of electro and even dubstep the genre is totally something unlike what it used to be when it started out.
